In a weekly chat classical homeopath Jost Schulte asks Anne Vervarcke about her latest insights, experiences, thoughts… From her unique perspective and piercing mind -which she by the way used to call ‘common sense’ – she will guide you through difficulties and doubts in taking or analyzing a case. Her extended experience with many cases and lots of unusual remedies bring other kingdoms and groups within your reach.
We welcome your questions and will answer them in the coming ‘Fridays’. Send a mail to annevervarcke@thewhiteroom.be.
Overview
The Twentieth Friday we embarked on an often mentioned but rarely discussed or explored aspect of homeopathy: namely the ‘art’ of it. What do we mean by this, could this artistic aspect be the reason why homeopaths are so passionate about their professionn can we teach this in our trainng program and if so, then how???? Don’t you also think those topics are hard to define yet omnipresent?
The Nineteenth Friday our focus was on talking about the outstanding Insect characteristics I’ve seen in many cases and consider water proof! With those pointers you can’t go wrong.
The Eighteenth Friday was dedicated to yet another group which is usely not often or never prescribed at all: the Carbons. They do have prominent charactreristics though, as always if one know what to look for.
The Seventeeth Friday dealt with the characteristics of Drug remedies. After this talk Drug remedies should be easy to spot!
The Sixteenth Friday we talked about Collective versus Individual disease and what to treat when and why!
The Fifteenth Friday we talked about the level on which we can and should prescribe and why this makes sense. This means we’re not always and in every case looking for the vital remedy!
The Fourtheenth is all about Fungi: how to spot them, what are their main characteristics and how to differentiate them from other groups?
The Thirteenth Friday we talked about classification of diseases and why this is important. What is the effect of intense emotions, stress, circumstances, lifestyle, toxicity, suppressive treatments, especially if patients display a mixture of all of these? How to we deal with these ’21st Century’ patients?
The Twelfth Friday Anne answered the questions about classification of Gemstones and how we can differentiate Gemstones from other Rocks and Stones. It also becomes clear that sophistication and simplification have to go hand in hand to spare the homeopath from despair.
The Eleventh Friday was dedicated to another interesting yet seldom precribed group of remedies: the Gemstones. The available information becomes now appicable with Anne’s pointers to the group characterisstics, mainly from her own experience and many Gemstone cases.
The Tenth Friday we talked in even more detail on the Bacteria, now especially on the Mind set and how they will confuse the homeopath! Anne also differentiates them from Parasites and Viruses, so you will never miss them again in your consultation room!
The Ninth Friday was on the Monera kingdom, a often overlooked though easy to spot group… if you know what to look for. Anne gives the main pointers to the Bacteria and Viruses: the emphazis on health and disease, the everlasting search for becoming healthy, the weak feeling, the need to eat (right diet and enough) and grow, the multiple and incorrect diagnoses and syndromes and the chronic states of acute diseases.
The eight Friday was about ‘what if the similimum doesn’t seem to act?’ Anne explains the characteristics of pathology coming from the unconscious mind (level 4) which she calls the ‘mythical level’ and why it is important to differentiate them from the Vital disturbance. She also elaborates on other possibilities: the potencies needs individualization, toxins need to be taken away, nosodes have to be given to start the engine…..
The Seventh Friday was all about the question whether the similimum is something additional or is it intertwined with the being. – What happens with wrong and partial remedies? – How do remedies bring about a cure anyway? and what about zigzag cures?
The Sixth Friday we talked about our concept of similimum and the criteria we use acording to the reaction of the patient. Also we touched on the subject of suppression and what a non suitable remedy might do.
The Fifth Friday again dealt with psychotherapeutic interpretation of the data of the Story and why we can’t use it for homeopathic prescription, neither can we use rationalizations or common human feelings and reactions to particular circumstances. We discussed the different between a Local and a Vital sensation and emphazised homeopathy is prescribing on ‘as if’, not on facts!
The Fourth Friday was about what is Vital in the Story.and what we should pay attention to, like: who is saying what w hen (in other words : context again!), surprising examples, illogical sequences, answering something else than you’ve asked for, what keeps coming back , etc
View Third Friday What is vital information in a case? What belongs to the personality, what belongs to the story and what belongs to the state? And what can we securely base our prescription on?
View Second Friday More about animals: prejudices about remedy, prejudices about the patient (or how to give Leech or Earthworm to a nice person?), too much imagination!
As a useful tool Anne explains the concept of dimensions to help analyze a case.
View First Friday All about animal cases: What pointers are reliable in Animal cases? How do Animal patients express in your clinic? What about Compensated behaviour? And what about children? Why we have difficulty finding an Animal?
